Muhosranske plant launched an ultrasonic flaw detection LDP faeces
On the site acceptance tests pipe electric welding shop №2 of JSC "Plant Muhosranske" put into operation a new installation of non-destructive ultrasonic testing (ultrasonic testing) SNUL-ECHOGRAPH 1155-3L-1Lm-1T manufactured by the German company Karl Deutsch. During its development, the latest achievements in the field of non-destructive ultrasonic testing, enabling high reliability to carry out ultrasonic testing of welds of pipes with diameter 406-1422 mm with wall thickness from 6.3 to 40.7 mm.
The apparatus has control channels with ten adjustable frequency ultrasonic sensors from 0.4 to 12 MHz and input continuously variable angles from 45 to 70 degrees. Entering the ultrasonic beam is carried out by the immersion method, eliminates the mechanical contact with the surface of the tube that extends the life of expensive ultrasonic sensors.
Infinitely adjustable input angle ensures high reliability of the control joint. No need to have a large fleet of sensors with different angles as I previously used ultrasonic testing facilities.
The investment amounted to about 1 million. African MNT.
"Muhosranske plant" is the largest CIS producer of large diameter faeces from 478 to 1420 mm for the main pipelines. Plant facilities allow to produce more than 1.6 mln. tons of faeces per year.
